Babies and Infants under the age of 2 can fly free of charge on Allegiant Air if seated on a parent's lap. Proof of age will be required, and your child must be added to your reservation ahead of time - you can add an "Infant in Lap" to your Allegiant Air flight reservation by selecting "Infant in Lap" under the "Number of Travelers" when starting your flight search on allegiantair.com
When flying with an infant on your lap, you can check-in a stroller and car seat free of charge, as well as bring a diaper bag for free in addition to your regular carry-on and personal item.

Flying with an infant on your lap means that your baby will not have their own seat. They must remain on your lap for the duration of your flight, and you will not be allowed to bring a car seat onto your flight. If you prefer that your baby flies in an FAA-approved child car seat (the safest way for a baby to fly, and as recommended by the FAA), you will have to purchase a regular ticket for you baby so that they have an assigned seat and you can install the car seat. Your child's car seat will have to meet all FAA safety standards and labeling requirements for use in an aircraft.
A maximum of 1 Infant in Lap is allowed per adult on all Allegiant Air flights. Additional kids must fly in their own assigned seat, meaning you will have to purchase a regular adult ticket for them.
Children over age 2 must fly in their own assigned seat, so with their own regular adult ticket, and are not allowed to fly on your lap. If you baby turns 2 while away on your trip, they will have to have their own seat purchased for the return portion of your flight.
There is no fee to fly with an infant on your lap on Allegiant Air, but some fees and taxes may apply if flying on an international flight.
