Firearms in Checked Baggage on Allegiant Air
Allegiant Air allows firearms and ammunition only in CHECKED luggage, never in your carry-on. Passengers must be 18 years of age or older to travel with a firearm on Allegiant Air.
Packing your Firearm to Fly on Allegiant Air
All firearms must be unloaded and packed in a locked, hard-sided case when flying on Allegiant Air. The hard-sided container must be able to withstand regular baggage handling without sustaining damage to the firearm. Only the passenger must be retain the key/combo to the locks on the gun case.

Firearm parts, including magazines, clips, bolts and firing pins, are prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage. These must be packed in the locked hard-sided case.
Replica firearms, including firearm replicas that are toys, may be transported in checked baggage only.
Rifle scopes are permitted in carry-on and checked baggage.
Packing Multiple Firearms in the Same Case on Allegiant Air
There is no limit to the number of firearms permitted to be packed together into a single case when flying on Allegiant Air.
Your firearm case will count toward your checked baggage, and standard checked baggage fees and weight limits apply, including excess and overweight baggage fees.
Ammunition on Allegiant Air
Ammunition is limited to a maximum of 11 lbs / 5 kg per passenger. Ammunition must be packed in its original packaging or in a box specifially designed for small amounts of ammunition.
Only cartridges up to 19.1 mm (0.75 caliber) or shotgun shells may be accepted for transport on Allegiant Air.
Checking-In Your Firearm with Allegiant Air
You must declare your firearm at the check-in desk with an Allegiant Air agent, and you will have to sign a declaration form that you must place into your locked firearms case. Only you must retain the key/combo to this case. Your firearm and case will be inspected by a TSA Agent before it is accepted as checked baggage.
