Fly Montserrat Baggage Fees 2018
Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

All carry-on baggage on Fly Montserrate planes must fit under the seat and be less than 4.5 kilos/ 10 lbs It should be smaller than 10" x 15" x 6" (26cm x 38cm x 15cm).

Any bag that is overweight or oversize will be treated as checked baggage and charged accordingly.

In addition, you may take the following items into the cabin:
Umbrella,
Walking stick,
Crutches and a coat,
A fully collapsible disabled person's wheelchair and/or braces or other prosthetic device for the passenger's use.
Certain items such as an infant pushchair must be labelled and stowed in the checked baggage compartment.

Everything else should be included within your carry-on bag.

Note: An infant carrying basket or bassinet will not be transported in the aircraft cabin unless the size of the basket or the bassinet will permit it being secured by a seat belt and a seat is reserved for the infant.

FlyMontserrat baggage allowances and excess baggage policy is as follows; charges are calculated per-flight and will be collected at time of check-in.

1st Checked Bag (up to 23kg/50lbs) - Free
Additioanl Bag (up to 23kg/50lbs) - $40 USD
Overweight Fee (23-32kg/50-70lbs) - $40 USD

All excess baggage (over and above one Standard bag of less than 50 lbs/23 kilos and carry-on of 4.5kg or 10lbs) is accepted on a ‘standby' basis and will be carried subject to space being available on the aircraft and on payment of the fee(s) listed above.
FlyMontserrat is not responsible for any delays in the transportation of excess baggage to its final destination; customs clearance charges and/or costs incurred for the collection of ‘stand by' baggage.
No one piece of baggage shall exceed 70 lbs / 32 kg and must fit into the hold door.
Baggage must be within overall dimensions (length + width + height) of a total of 62 inches. Any piece with overall dimensions in excess of this total will be counted as oversized and might have to be quoted for individually.

IMPORTANT
Checked Luggage - FlyMontserrat will not accept items not covered in our limit of liability in or as checked baggage and assumes no responsibility or liability for such items, regardless of whether FlyMontserrat knew or should have known of the presence of such items in checked or transferred baggage. If any such items (camera equipment, jewellery, computers, videos or optical equipment, etc.) are lost, damaged or delayed, you will not be entitled to any reimbursement under our standard baggage liability, or under any declared excess valuation. Do not attempt to check these items. Carry them with you in the passenger cabin (subject to carry-on baggage limitations).

FlyMontserrat is a point-to-point airline and, in the event of delayed baggage arrival, will not accept responsibility for the onward transportation of baggage beyond the FlyMontserrat ticketing destination. Passengers must collect their bags from the Customs area.

Notice of Baggage Liability Limitations
Liability for loss, delay, or damage to baggage is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid. For most international travel, including domestic portions of international journeys, the liability limit is approximately USD 9.07 per pound or USD 20.00 per kg for checked baggage and USD 400.00 per passenger for unchecked baggage.

Time limit for action: Baggage claims: Written notice to the carrier must be made within 7 days of the receipt of checked baggage in the case of damage, and, in the case of delay, within 21 days from the date on which it was placed at the disposal of the passenger.

IMPORTANT: You must report any Loss, Damage or Theft relating to your Checked Baggage BEFORE you leave the Customs/Baggage Hall in the airport of arrival.
