Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

ITA Airways permits carry-on bags weighing up to 8kg, with a maximum size of 55 x 25 x 35 cm.

Additionally, passengers are allowed to bring a smaller personal item such as a handbag, work backpack, or laptop computer. The maximum size of this personal item should not exceed 45 x 36 x 20 cm.

If the flight is very busy, the overhead bin space may be full, so your larger carry-on bag/suitcase may be placed into the cargo hold for the duration of the flight. Be sure to keep all important documents, passports, and valuables in your personal item that get placed below the seat in front of you.

ITA Airway's cheapest Light Fare ticket does not include any free checked baggage, but you purchase a checked baggage if necessary. Each piece of checked baggage can have a maximum size of 158 cm, which is calculated by adding the height, width, and depth of the bag together. The weight limit for each bag depends on the travel class and destination, with a maximum weight of either 23 or 32 kg.
