Vueling Vueling Snowboards Policy Vueling accepts your snowboard for a special luggage fee starting at 55 EUR each way if purchased ahead of time. You will be charged a higher fee if paying for your snowboard bag at the airport. Remember that in order to travel, your snowboard equipment must be correctly packed, labelled and protected so that it can be carried safely. A snowboard bag is considered Special Luggage, so it cannot be included in your regular checked baggage allowance. You will have to add your snowboard bag as a piece of Special Luggage by selecting "Ski/Snowboard" from the Special Luggage dropdown, either when making your original booking or by adding it to your reservation via the Vueling website or app later on. Keep in mind that it is much cheaper to pay for bringing your snowboard online rather than at the airport. Your snowboard bag may weigh up to a maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs, with a maximum length of 2.70 meters. You'll be told where to drop off your snowboard bag once you get to the check-in desk on the day of your flight - there is usually an Oversize Luggage drop-off area located in the check-in area of the airport terminal.

All items must be packed for shipping to prevent damage. Your snowboard bag can be taken on Westjet flights in place of a standard suitcase. Westjet's standard checked baggage fee will apply to your snowboard bag, as if you were flying with a standard suitcase, and the same weight limit of 23 kg / 50 lbs applies (Overweight snowboards bags will be charged Westjet's normal overweight baggage fee of $100), but the oversize luggage fee is waived for snowboard bags. Snowboard wax must be non-flammable. Butane or torches used to remove snowboard wax are not accepted. The oversize bag fee will be waived. Applicable extra piece and overweight fees apply. If passengers are traveling together, more than one pair of snowboard may be carried in one bag. The number of snowboards may not exceed the number of passengers in the group. In this case the free check-in allowance for skis, snowboards and auxiliary equipment may be added up as 20 kg per each group member. Each baggage item with the equipment is to comply with the airline baggage requirements. A fee is charged for a snowboard bag of over 32 kg or 203 centimeters (all 3 dimensions added up) as for oversize baggage.
