ZipAir Tokyo is a low-cost Japanese airline flying to eastern Asia as well as long-haul international routes to Hawaii, San Jose, and Los Angeles.
ZipAir allows two items to be brought into the cabin free of charge, these being a standard-sized carry-on suitcase (40 x 25 x 55 cm) and a smaller personal item (35 x 25 x 45 cm), with the total combined weight not to exceed 7 kg.
As a low-cost airline, ZipAir charges for all checked bags, which you can add to your reservation when making your booking, or afterward under "Manage my Reservation" on the ZipAir website. When purchasing your baggage allowance, you can select whether you are bringing a smaller item (up to 14 kg), standard weight (up to 23 kg) or overweight (up to 32 kg). Fees vary depending on the origin and destination of your flight.

ZIPAIR allows up two pieces to be brought on board into the cabin free of charge. The combined weight of both items is limited to a maximum of 7 kg.
The larger standard-sized carry-on item is limited in size up to 40 x 25 x 55 cm, and must be placed in the overhead bin. Your second item must be smaller (max size 35 x 25 x 45 cm) and must be placed under the seat in front of you.
The total combined weight of both items is 7 kg. If you would like to bring heavier cabin luggage, you will have to pre-purchase an additional weight allowance (up to a maximum total of 12 kg), for a fee depending on the origin/destination of your flight.

ZIPAIR does not include any free checked baggage allowance on its flights. If you would like to check-in a suitcase, you will have to pay a checked baggage fee for every item you would like to check-in. You may purchase up to a maximum of 5 pieces of checked luggage.
When purchasing your luggage allowance on ZIPAIR, you can choose to purchase either a 14 kg, 23 kg, or 32 kg luggage allowance (maximum weight is 32 kg). If you have purchased a lower weight allowance (14 kg or 23 kg) and your bag is overweight, you will have to pay the difference for the higher baggage weight allowance fee at the airport, along with an extra handling fee.

If you would like to bring a heavier bag as checked luggage on your ZIPAIR flight, you will have to pre-purchase a heavier baggage allowance (up to a maximum of 32 kg) before your flight. No single bag is allowed to weigh more than 32 kg, and you are limited to a maximum of 5 pieces of checked luggage.
If you have purchased a lower baggage allowance (either 14 kg or 23 kg) and your bag is overweight, you will have to pay the difference for the heavier baggage fee, plus an additional handling fee at the airport.
All bags are limited in size to 203 cm in linear dimensions (Length + Width + Height).
Sports equipment on ZIPAIR is limited in size to what can fit in the cargo compartment. ZipAir provides a table showing the maximum width and height for an item depending on its length.
Example 1: If the length is 254 cm or less and the height is 91 cm or less, sports equipment with a width of 76 cm or less can be checked in.
Example 2: If the width is 50 cm or less and the height is 60 cm or less, sports equipment with a length of 292 cm or less can be checked in.
