Babies Under 2 Fly Free on Spirit Airlines

Babies and infants under 2 years old (must be at least 7 days old) may fly for free on a parent's lap when flying Spirit Airlines on U.S. Domestic flights.  You must inform the airline ahead of time that you will be flying with an Infant in Lap.

You will have to check-in with an agent at the airport when flying with an infant in your lap. [AMZ asins='B00TSL2UJ6,B089NR6B41,B01DD0V4QC,B09NCDP4SM']

A maximum of 1 Infant in Lap is allowed per adult passenger.  If you are flying with more kids than adults, you will have to purchase an individual seat for the extra child.

Flying with an infant on your lap means that they will not have their own assigned seat, and you will not be able to use a car seat or restraint device.  If you prefer that your baby fly in a car seat, you will have book them their own assigned seat by purchasing a regular ticket for your baby.

You may be asked to show proof of age when flying with an infant on your lap.

Some taxes and fees may apply depending on your destination, usually for international flights.
