PLAY Airlines is a new low-cost Icelandic airline from the founders of WOW Airlines, connecting Iceland with destinations in Europe. PLAY Airlines began flying in 2021.
Like most low-cost airlines, only a small personal-item is included free of charge - you will have to pay extra for a carry-on bag and for all checked baggage.
BEWARE when packing - be sure to note that PLAY Airlines has a lower checked bag weight limit of only 20 kg / 44 lbs, less than the standard 23 kg / 50 lbs of most other airlines. Keep this in mind when packing before you get charged overweight baggage fees.

PLAY Airlines Carry On 2022 - Cabin Bag Size & Weight Limit
With PLAY Airlines, you are allowed only one small carry-on item free of charge. This small item must fit under the seat in front of you. Maximum dimensions are 42x32x25 cm/17x13x10 inches including handles and wheels. Weight is limited to 10 kg/22 lbs.
You may also bring one duty-free bag free of charge.
If you would like to bring a larger carry-on item that goes into the overhead bin space, it will cost you as follows:
Direct Flights to/from Europe: 23-32 EUR during booking (26-37 added after booking, 49 EUR at the airport)
Direct Flights to/from USA (Normal Season): $34 USD during booking ($39 USD added after booking, $59 USD at the airport)
Direct Flights to/from USA (High Season): $42 USD during booking ($36 USD added after booking, $59 USD at the airport)
Connecting Flights (Normal Season): $46 USD / 39 EUR ($69 USD / 59 EUR at the airport)

There are no free checked bags included on PLAY Airlines - every checked bag will cost you extra.
You may purchase up to 3 checked bags on PLAY Airlines while making your booking. You may also add checked bags to your booking afterward, but it is more expensive. You can also pay for your bags at the airport, but it will cost you significantly more.
