Iberia Airlines Carry On 2023 - Cabin Bag Size & Weight Limit

All passengers on Iberia Airlines are allowed to bring a Standard Hand Luggage / Carry-on Suitcase (56cm x 40cm x 25cm), plus a smaller personal item (40 x 30 x 15 cm).

The only exception is for Long Haul Business Plus passengers, who may bring 2 x Standard Carry-on Bags, plus a personal item.

The standard Hand Luggage dimensions on Iberia Airlines are limited to a maximum of 56cm x 40cm x 25cm. Handle, pocket compartments and wheels are included in the dimensions. These pieces should fit in the size-check device located at the airports.

The weight of your Carry-on Bag is limited to 10 KG for Economy class passengers, and 14 kg for Business class passengers.

Iberia recommends to check-in your cabin bag and board the plane with only your small personal item - you can check-in your cabin bag free of charge on all Iberia flights.

Iberia Group Flights (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum)
The Iberia Regional Air Nostrum aircraft are smaller so there may be some limitations as to what you can take with you into the cabin. In this case, your luggage would be placed in the luggage hold and be available for you to collect upon arrival at your destination.

Sometimes, in high-occupancy flights, if there is not enough space in the cabin, carry-on baggage may travel in the hold at no extra cost to the passenger.

Personal Item
Anyone of the personal items given below may be included as your personal item of hand luggage. Dimensions are limited to 40 x 30 x 15 cm.

- A handbag or small briefcase.
- A laptop computer or photo camera.
- A baby’s bag with food, drink and equipment for the flight.

Flights to/from the US
The US authorities report that, due to security restrictions, all passengers travelling into/out of the US can only carry one piece of carry-on baggage and 1 other personal item on their outbound flight.

On all Iberia flights, you may bring up to a maximum of 9 pieces of checked luggage. This is a total of both free checked bags (if any are inluded in your fare) plus bags for which you have paid. Please keep in mind that additional checked bags (3rd bag + ) are more expensive than the first 2 checked bags.
