Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

Hand baggage may weigh no more than 8 kg and must not exceed the dimensions 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm.

If you are travelling in Economy Class, you are allowed to bring 1 piece of hand baggage. Dimensions should not exceed 55 x 40 x 23 centimeters (cm), with a max weight of 8 kilograms (kg).

If you are travelling in Business Class, you are allowed to bring 2 piece of hand baggage. Each item should not exceed the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23 centimeters (cm), and should not weigh more than 8 kilograms (kg).

In addition to the standard hand baggage, the following items are allowed to be brought on board if necessary by each passenger (except infants):

1 coat or blanket
1 umbrella or walking stick
1 ladies' handbag
1 small camera or 1 set of binoculars

Pets
The following pets are allowed in the cabin: Dogs and cats with a maximum weight, incl. box, of 8 kgs. Animals must be transported in a water-tight soft box bag (max size 55 x 40 x 24 cm, with sufficient air supply (see example pictures), whereby the box, with the animal in it must remain stored under the seat during the entire journey. A reservation at your agency is necessary.

The pet is weighed together with the container and your baggage at check-in; excess baggage is charged at the regular excess baggage rate.

If you are travelling in Edelweiss Economy Class or Economy Max, you are allowed to bring 1 piece of baggage, and it should weigh more than 23 kg / 50 lbs.

If you are travelling in Business Class, you are allowed to bring 2 pieces of baggage, and each piece should weigh more than 32 kg / 70 lbs.

Exception: To/From Sri Lanka and Vietnam
If flying Edelweiss Air to/from Sri Lanka or Vietnam, special checked baggage rules apply. Economy and Economy Max passengers may bring 2 x 23 kg pieces of checked baggage free of charge.

Baggage Allowance for Infants 0-2 Years Old:
Business Class/Economy Class/Economy Max: 1 bag weighing up to 23 Kg + a car seat/stroller/buggy.

Baggage Allowance for Children 2-12 Years Old:
Business Class: 2 bags weighing up to 32 Kg each + a car seat/stroller/buggy.
Economy Class/Economy Max: 1 bag weighing up to 23 Kg + a car seat/stroller/buggy.

Baggage Allowance for Children 2-12 Years Old Traveling to/from Sri Lanka/Vietnam:
Business Class: 2 bags weighing up to 32 Kg each + a car seat/stroller/buggy.
Economy Class/Economy Max: 2 bags weighing up to 23 Kg each + a car seat/stroller/buggy.

Maximum Luggage Size Dimensions on Edelweiss Air
Maximum dimension (height + width + depth) of 158 cm per piece apply to all luggage on Edelweiss Air.
