So, you are going on a ski trip. Now, do you take your own skis, or do you rent ski equipment at the resort. Be sure to read the exact ski equipment policy for your airline before you travel. Although most airlines will take your ski equipment for free, there are often limitations as to how to pack your skis, whether you can carry a boot bag free of charge, or whether you need to pre-register your ski equipment before getting to the airport. It is sometimes not worth the hassle of flying with your own gear, and renting skis during your vacation might make more sense.
