All checked luggage on Allegiant Air will be charged a fee to be checked-in. It is recommended to book and pay for your checked luggage ahead of time, while making your reservation, in order to save on baggage fees. The price of bringing a checked suitcase on Allegiant Air gets much more expensive when paying for your luggage at the airport.
NOTICE: For 2023 Allegiant Air has increased the checked bag weight to the standard 50 lbs / 23 kg of most airlines (previously the limit for Allegiant Air was 40 lbs / 18 kg per checked bag). If your bag weighs between 50-70lbs (18-32kg), you will be charged an additional $50 fee. The bag dimensions are limited to a maximum of 80 linear inches. Your checked bag fee on Allegiant is typically in the $30-50 range when paying for your luggage while making your original booking, depending on origin and destination. This price goes up to $70 when adding bags to your reservation later on, and $75 if paying for your luggage at the airport. Be sure to plan ahead and reserve your checked bags when making the initial booking, as bags added before departure but after your initial booking will already cost much more more.

Airport Baggage Fees
Bag fees paid at the airport are USD $50 each way per passenger ($75 per bag starting August 16 2023). If your carry-on bag is too big and must be checked, you may be charged up to $75 for it.
Bag Prices Increasing on August 16th 2023
Allegiant Air flights departing on or after August 16th, 2023, will have higher checked baggage fees. The pre-departure bag fee (for both checked and carry-on luggage) will be $70, and the baggage fee when paying at the airport will now be $75.
Bag Weight and Size Restrictions on Allegiant Air
Checked bags must be under 50 pounds (23 kilos) and under 80 linear inches (203 centimeters) in height + width + depth. Additional charges may apply for overweight bags, oversize bags, sporting equipment and/or excess baggage.
