Eastern Airways Baggage Fees 2023
Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

One piece of hand luggage is allowed per passenger, with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 35cm x 20cm.

The weight of the hand luggage is limited to 7 Kg for Value ticket passengers, and 10 Kg for Standard and Flexible ticket passengers.

Hand Luggage on Jetstream 41 Flights
Due to the airplane's size limits, only small pieces of cabin baggage which can be stowed under a single seat in front may be taken on board. If you have a larger piece of hand luggage, you will be asked to "gate-check" it when boarding the flight, meaning it will be placed into the luggage hold for the duration of the flight, and you will not have access to your hand luggage during the flight. All gate-checked bags will be returned to you outside the aircraft immediately upon disembarkation. Passengers are advised to remove fragile/valuable items to be taken on board.

Items which may be considered dangerous, such as, toy guns, kitchen knives, swords, spear guns, knitting needles and sharp items, such as nail scissors and clippers, tweezers, penknives etc. are not permitted in hand baggage.

"Value Fare" passengers are not allowed any free checked luggage allowance. You can purchase a luggage allowance of 15 kg online for 30 GBP - this must be done before the check-in at the airport opens, otherwise the fee for a 15 Kg checked bag jumps up to 50 GBP.

"Standard Fare" passengers are allowed 1 bag of up to 15 Kg free of charge. You can purchase an additional 15 Kg baggage allowance 30 GBP when purchasing online ahead of time, or for 50 GBP at the airport.

"Flexible Fare" passengers have 1 bag of 23 Kg included free of charge. You can purchase an additional 23 Kg bag for a fee of 30 GBP if paid online, otherwise it will cost you 50 GBP at the airport.

All baggage in excess of this weight will be subject to excess baggage charges of GBP 10.00 per kilo. Due to Health and Safety regulations, no single piece of luggage may weigh more than 32kgs.

Fragile and valuable items
Passengers shall not include in their checked baggage, fragile or perishable items, including but not limited to laptops, cameras, personal electronic devices, money, jewellery, precious metals, silverware, keys for car, business or home, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables including business documents, passports and other identification documents.

Eastern Airways shall not be liable for damage, delay or loss should items such as these be carried in checked baggage. At no time should passengers leave wallets, handbags, cameras etc., unattended either on board the aircraft or in the airport terminal building.
