Air Jamaica Baggage Fees 2018
Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

All Air Jamaica passengers, whether regional or international, are allowed one piece of carry-on luggage. Its weigh must not exceed 10kg/22lbs, or 45inches in total linear length (length width height)

Additional Free Carry-on Items:
In addition to the free baggage allowances provided herein, each passenger may carry, without additional charges, one of the following articles of baggage with maximum dimension of 36 inches (91cms) only when retained in the passenger's custody; except that items listed in (1) and (2) may be carried in the passenger or cargo compartment of the aircraft:
One fully collapsible wheelchair and/or a pair of crutches and/or braces of other prosthetic device for the passenger’s use, provided the passenger is dependent upon them, may carried in the luggage compartment of the aircraft.
One fully collapsible child’s stroller or push chair.
A handbag, pocket book or purse, i.e. which is appropriate to normal traveling dress and is not being used to carry articles which would otherwise be considered baggage.
One overcoat, wrap, or blanket.
An umbrella or walking stick.
One briefcase.
A small camera or a pair of binoculars.
A reasonable amount of reading matter for the flight.
Infant's food for consumption in flight.
Infants carrying basket.
One light garment bag. The garment bag must not contain any hard objects.
One Laptop

All checked baggage must be within Air Jamaica’s guidelines of a maximum weight of 50 pounds in Economy Class or 70 pounds for Business Class between Canada/USA and the Caribbean with total maximum dimensions of 62 inches. Additional charges will apply for overweight and excess baggage. The carry-on piece must be able to fit under the passenger seat or in the overhead compartment. Bags exceeding 32kg. (70 lbs) and over 62 inches in total dimensions (L+W+H) must be shipped via cargo. Boxes will be accepted in lieu or checked baggage allowance provided they do not exceed the size/weight of the check bag allowance. Articles of baggage in excess of those allowed will be accepted for transportation only subject to the availability of space.
