The following items may be carried on board free of charge, provided they fit under the seat in front of the passenger or in the overhead bin and in accordance with the following:
(1) First and Business Class-one (1) briefcase 18x14x8 ins/45x35x20 cms; plus 1 handbag 22x15x8
ins/55x38x20 cms; or 1 garment bag 8 ins/20 cms think when folded and the total weight of both
pieces does not exceed 26 Ibs /12 KGS.
(2) Economy Class-one (1) bag 22x15x8 ins/55x38x20 cms; that does not exceed 15 Ibs/7 kgs.
(3) Infant - One (1) bag 22x15x8 ins/55x38x20 cms containing infant food for inflight consumption and
the total weight does not exceed 11 Ibs/5 KGS. A carrycot or fully collapsible stroller may be
carried in the cabin if space is available or as checked baggage in the hold.
(4) Duty Free- In addition to the above and all classes, passengers will also be permitted to carry
reasonable quantities of duty free purchases of liquor, cigarettes and perfume.
(5) “Wheelies” bags with retractable handles are acceptable provided the total dimensions are within
45 ins/115 cms.
Cabin Seat Baggage
AH will accept the following special/fragile/valuable items for carriage in the cabin provided a
separate seat has been booked at the same time as the passenger’s reservations are booked and in
accordance with the following:
(1) Acceptable Items:
(a) Diplomatic mail when carried by a diplomatic courier
(b) Musical instruments accompanying musicians
(c) Currency notes carried by bankers, and
(d) Gold carried by traders.
(2) Size/Weight- the total weight must not exceed 34 Ibs/75 kgs per allocated seat .

The following free checked baggage allowances shall apply to adults and children:
Applicable to/from USA
(a) First and Business Class- two(2) checked pieces will be accepted free of charge provided that
the total linear dimensions (height X depth X width) for each bag do not exceed 62 ins/158
cms and the weight of each bag does not exceed 70 Ibs/32 kgs.
(b) Economy Class- two(2) checked pieces will be accepted free of charge provided that the total
linear dimensions (height X depth X width) for each bag do not exceed 107 ins/273 cms and the
weight of each bag does not exceed 50 Ibs/[I]32 kgs (except to/from Japan where the bags may
weigh up to 70 Ibs/32 kgs).
(c) Infant one (1) checked bag for which the total dimensions do not exceed 45 ins/115cms and the
weight of the bag does not exceed 50 Ibs/[I]32 Ibs for all classes.
Applicable to/from Canada
(a) First and Business Class- two(2) checked pieces will be accepted free of charge provided
that the total linear dimensions (height X depth X width) for each bag do not exceed 62
ins/158 cms and the weight of each bag does not exceed 150 Ibs/64 kgs.
(b) Economy Class- two(2) checked pieces will be accepted free of charge provided that the total
linear dimensions (height X depth X width) for each bag do not exceed 107 ins/273 cms and
the weight of each bag does not exceed 50 Ibs/[I]32 kgs (AXCEPTION: 32 kgs/70 Ibs for
Economy Class between Canada and Brazil/Japan).
(c) Infant - One (1) checked bag for which the total dimensions do not exceed 45 ins/115cms and
the weight of the bag does not exceed 50 Ibs/[I]32 Ibs for all classes.

Baggage carried in excess of the free baggage allowance irrespective of the class paid fir and uses by the passenger.
(1) Each piece of baggage weighing between 23-32 kgs/50-70 Ibs will be subject to an overweight
fee of USD 25/CAD 35 per bag.
(2) For each bag (piece) in excess of the permitted number, when the size and weight are not
exceeded, a single excess charge is applicable.
(3) For each bag (piece) between 62 in/158 cms and 80 in/203 cms a single excess charge is
applicable.
(4) When baggage is in excess of the permitted number but within the permitted dimensions and
weight, twice the excess charge is applicable.
(5) For Bags in excess of the permitted dimensions and weight and if prior arrangements have been
made with AH to carry it as checked baggage, the charges shall be three times the excess charge
for the first 45 kilos or fraction thereof and for each additional 10 kilos or fraction
thereof, a single excess charge will apply.
(6) Irrespective of the size of the container, its weight and the number of animals in it, twice
the applicable excess charge shall apply for each container.
