Arajet Baggage Fees 2023
Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

AraJet offers 3 fare-types, Smart, Comfort, and Extra, of which only the highest level Extra fare includes a free carry-on suitcase up to 12 kg / 26 lbs.

Both the Smart (lowest-cost) and Comfort (mid-level) fares do not include a standard carry-on suitcase for free, they only allow you to bring a small personal item. This personal item may be a backpack, purse, computer bag, or other similar item, with maximum dimensions of 15 x 9 x 7 inches / 40 x 25 x 20 cm, and a maximum weight of 6 kg / 13 lbs. You must place this underneath the seat in front of you, and not into the overhead bins.

Standard Carry-On Item
Only AraJet's "Extra" fare includes a free standard-sized carry-on item. This may be either a small suitcase or a larger backpack, with dimensions limited to 56 x 46 x 25 cm / 22 x 18 x 10 inches, with a maximum weight of 12 kg / 26 lbs. You may place this item into the overhead bins.

If you are flying on a "Smart" or "Comfort" level fare, the standard-sized carry-on item is not included, but you can add it to your flight for a fee. The cost depends on when and how you pay for your carry-on bag, with the cheapest option being to pay online while making your original reservation, and the most expensive is to pay for your carry-on bag at the airport.

If you arrive at the boarding gate with a personal-item that is larger than the allowed dimensions, you will be charged the At the Airport - At the Gate fee of $100 USD to bring it. If your carry-on item is larger than the maximum size limit, it will not fit into the overhead bins, and must be gate-checked at the gate for a fee.

AraJet's cheapest "Smart" fare does not include any free checked bags. Both the mid-level "Comfort" fare and most expensive "Extra" fare each include 1 free checked bag of 20 kg / 44 lbs. Be careful when packing, as this weight limit of 20 kg / 44 lbs is a bit less than the standard 23 kg / 50 lbs allowed by most other airlines.

It is possible to add an extra checked bag to your reservation, either as your 1st checked bag on a Smart fare, or as additional bags, by paying AraJet's extra bag fee. It is cheapest to pay for your bags while making your original reservation online, as the prices go up afterward, with the most expensive option being to pay for your bags at the airport. You may bring up to a total of 3 bags per passenger.

Each bag on AraJet is limited in size to 158 cm / 62 inches in Linear Dimensions, meaning the sum of Length, Width and Height (L+W+H). The weight allowance for each bag on AraJet is 20 kg / 50 lbs. If a bag is heavier than 20 kg / 50 lbs, an Overweight baggage fee will be charged. The maximum allowed weight for any bag is 32 kg / 70 lbs - heavier bags will not be accepted.
