Allegiant Air does not specify a Bicycle policy. Instead, they have a standard sporting equipment policy as follows, stating that it will be treated like a regular piece of luggage and standard fees apply:
Each piece of sporting equipment will be considered a checked bag with all applicable fees applied per person, per bag, per segment. All Baggage Fees are non-refundable. Applicable fees will be applied for those bags exceeding the 50 lbs. weight limit and eighty inches size limits.
Allegiant does have a a more generous 80 inch linear dimensions size limit, as opposed to the standard 62 inches for most airlines, so your bike box/bag may fit within this limit, hence avoiding the oversize fee. Depending on your bike and how it is packed, you may be able to fit within the 50 lbs weight limit.
If exceeding the 50 lbs weight limit, you will be charged a $50 overweight fee as long as the bike bag is below 70 lbs / 32 kg. Bike bags weighing between 70-100 lbs (32-45 kg) will be charged an additional $75 fee.
