Singapore Airlines Baggage Fees 2023
Carry On Size & Weight - Checked Bag Fee

If you exceed your Singapore Airlines Free Baggage Allowance, you will have to pay an Excess Baggage Fee for your additional baggage. If you know ahead of time that you will be exceeding your Free Baggage Allowance, you can pre-pay for your Excess Baggage online. If paying for your baggage more than 48h before your flight, you will get up to 25% off this fee, and up to 10% if up to 6 hours before your flight.

Excess Baggage on All Flights except to/from USA
You can pre-purchase excess baggage in 5 Kg increments, up to a total of 100 Kg. The cost of your excess baggage depends on the origin and destination of your flight, split into 5 regions. It is most expensive to pay for your excess baggage at the airport.

Excess Baggage on Flights to/from USA and Canada
On flights with Origin/Destination as the USA or Canada, a Piece Concept baggage policy applies. This means that excess baggage (Extra Pieces, Overweight, or Oversize) policies are charged accordingly. The price depends on the geographic "Band" of the Origin/Destination of your flight.

Prices provided are when pre-booking your excess baggage at least 48 hours before take-off. Higher prices apply when booked between 6-48 hrs before your flight. If you don't pre-purchase your excess baggage at the discounted rates at least 6 hrs before your flight, the highest "At Airport Check-In" rates will apply.

If your luggage exceeds the weight allowance of 23 kg, the Overweight Fee will be charged. If your luggage is larger than 158 cm (Linear Dimensions: L + W + H = 158 cm), the Oversized Fee will apply.

If you bring an Additional Piece of luggage, in excess of your allowed number of bags, only the Additional Piece fee will apply. No Overweight or Oversized charge will apply to these Additional Pieces.
