Singapore Airlines Checked Baggage Fees 2023 - Checked Bag Weight & Size Limits

Singapore Airlines offers a free checked baggage allowance for all passengers. The baggage allowance is either a Piece Concept (a defined number of bags, with a weight limit per bag) or a Weight Concept (a total combined weight of all baggage, allowing for multiple pieces to be checked in). Wheter a Piece Concept or Weight Concept baggage allowance applies to your flight depends on the origin and destination of your flight.

Weight Concept - All Flights except to/from Canada and USA
All Singapore Airlines flights, except those flying to/from Canada and USA, have a Weight Concept baggage allowance. This means you are entitled to a maximum total weight of your baggage. You may pack into multiple suitcases if you wish, as long as the total COMBINED weight of all your bags does not exceed the weight limit. In either case, for health and safety reasons, be aware that no single individual bag may weigh more than 32 kg / 70 lbs, even if your total weight allowance is more than this.

Your total Weight Allowance on Singapore Airlines depends on the ticket type you have purchased.

Economy Class - Lite: 25 Kg
Economy Class - Standard: 30 Kg
Economy Class - Flexi : 30 Kg
Premium Economy: 35 Kg
Business Class: 40 Kg
First Class: 50 Kg

PPS Club - Suites and First Class: 50 Kg Extra

Piece Concept - Flights to/from Canada and USA
On flights to/from Canada and the USA, a Piece Concept applies. This specifies how many pieces of checked luggage you may bring, and the maximum weight of each bag. Your allowance depends on the ticket type.

Economy Class: 2 Pieces, 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Premium Economy: 2 Pieces, 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Business Class: 2 Pieces, 32 kg / 70 lbs each
First Class: 2 Pieces, 32 kg / 70 lbs each
