Interjet was a low-cost Mexican airline, flying to Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, North and South America. It ceased operations in December 2020, and is currently attempting to restructure. Below is their baggage information for historical purposes, and will be updated if Interjet resumes flying in the future. There are rumours that Interjet may return to the air in 2022, we will update this page if and when that is confirmed.
--------------------------------------
For 2020, Interjet has introduced a new "Ultra Light" fare class for it's flights, with no free checked bags. On North American flights, Interjet's 2nd lowest fare class, Light, also doesn't allow a free checked bag. Only on Latin American flights, does the Light fare allow one piece of checked luggage free of charge.
Interjet's Optima and Priority fares both have checked bags included.
Interjet allows up to 10 kg of carry-on baggage with you, divided in one or two pieces, the second being a smaller "personal" type item. This is for all fare classes.
Maximum dimensions for a piece of carry-on is 55 x 40 x 25 cm (21 x 15 x 9 inches).
