Delta Airlines offers special baggage allowances for members of the US Military when flying, both for leisure and on orders. Delta also offers military discounts on flights, vacations, and military pet transportation.
Delta Airlines Military Baggage Allowance When Flying on Orders
When flying on military orders, bags may weigh up to a maximum of 100 lbs (45 kg) each, and you may bring up to 5 bags free of charge. The size of each bag is limited to 80 linear inches (Length + Width + Height). This allowances applies to Active Members of the US Military including United States Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Navy, or Coast Guard, flying in Basic Economy, Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, First Class, Delta Premium Select, or Delta One.

Delta Airlines Baggage Allowance for US Military on Personal Travel
As a Thank You for your service, Delta offers a special baggage allowance to Active Members of the US Military (US Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Gard) on personal travel. When flying in Basic Economy, Main Cabin, or Delta Comfort +, you may bring 2 bags of 23 kg / 50 lbs each free of charge. The size is limited to 62 linear inches ( L + W + H). If flying First Class, Delta Premium Select, or Delta One, you may bring 3 bags of 70 lbs (32 kg) each.
Please keep in mind that regional weight restrictions and baggage embargoes may still apply on your flight, even when flying as military, which may affect your baggage allowance.
