Bringing a Wedding Dress in your Carry-On with Sun Country Airlines
Sun Country Airlines will accept your wedding dress as your carry-on item (you will have to pay for this carry-on item, it is not included in the regular ticket price - prices are $30 at the time of reservation, $40 when adding it later, or $50 at the airport). This can be either packed in your standard carry-on suitcase (max size 24 x 16 x 11 inches), or in a garment bag that when folded/rolled can fit into the sizer.
When bringing your wedding dress as your carry-on item, keep in mind that it is limited in weight to 35 lbs.

When boarding the aircraft, you can ask your flight attendant whether it can be hung up in a closet at the front of the plane, but most likely you will have to place it into the overhead bin. It is best to lay your dress flat on top of the suitcases in the overhead locker, to make sure it does not get crushed by suitcases from other passengers.
We do not recommend packing your wedding dress into your regular checked suitcase, so that it doesn't get lost in transit before your wedding. Be sure to bring your shoes, jewellery, and other essentials into the cabin as well.
Upon arrival, your dress is bound to be wrinkled - we recommend packing a travel hand-steamer to dewrinkle your dress once you arrive at your destination, so it is in perfect shape for your big day. You can pack a clothes steamer into either you checked suitcase, or into your carry-on bag (as long as there is no liquid left inside, otherwise it will not be allowed through the TSA Security point).
Flying with a Bridesmaid Dress on Sun Country Airlines
Similar rules apply to a bridesmaid dress on Sun Country Airlines - you can bring it as your carry-on item as long as it weighs less than 35 lbs, and is packed into your carry-on suitcase. The standard carry-on fee will be charged. Your dress can be in a garment bag that when folded/rolled fits into the dimensions of 24 x 16 x 11 inches.
