Breeze Airways Car Seat and Stroller Policy

Bringing a Car Seat and Stroller as Checked Baggage on Breeze Airways

Breeze Airways allows a car seat and a stroller to be checked-in free of charge when flying with a child.

You may either drop off the stroller and car seat at the check-in desk when dropping off your regular checked luggage, or choose to "gate-check" these items when boarding the aircraft. [AMZ asins='B000RRD7UG,B06XTT17QC,B0009RNXNA,B084RB2WN9']

We recommend gate-checking your child's car seat and stroller to minimize the risk of damage while in transit, as well as to minimize the chance of your baby's items getting lost in transit. We suggest putting your child's car seat and stroller in "gate-check" protective covers or bags to keep them from getting dirty, stained, or torn while they are being handled by the baggage handlers at the gate. Many of these covers for child car seats and strollers are brightly colored so that the baggage handler at the airport can see them and make sure they don't get lost.

Bringing a Wagon Instead of a Stroller on Breeze Airways

Breeze Airways also allows you to gate-check a foldable child wagon instead of a stroller when flying with your kids. Foldable play pens, cribs, and play yards do not qualify unforunately, and standard checked baggage fees will apply to bring these items.

Bringing a Child's Car Seat Onto the Plane on Breeze Airways

You may only bring a car seat into the cabin of the plane if your child has their own assigned seat.  This means that babies without their own ticket, flying on your lap, will not be allowed to bring their car seat into the cabin (it will have to be gate-checked free of charge).

All children with their own assigned seat (including babies 0-2 years old) will need to provide their own FAA-Approved Car Seat in order to fly.  Breeze Airways does not provide child restraint systems for your child.

Be sure that your child's car seat meets the FAA's requirements for being approved for aircraft use.  Most car seats meet these requirements, but unfortunately not all do.  Be sure to check that your car seat meets the FAA's requirements before your flight.  You will be asked to show the proper labeling on your car seat that it meets these requirements, specifically a label stating "This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft".
