Frontier Airlines Car Seat and Stroller Policy

Flying with a Car Seat on Frontier Airlines

You may check-in your child's car seat free of charge on Frontier Airlines, either by dropping it off together with your suitcase at the check-in desk, or bringing it through security to the gate area and dropping it off there.  We suggest "gate-checking" your child's car seat to minimize the chances of it getting lost or damaged in transit.

We always recommend placing your baby's car seat in a protective travel cover to keep it from getting stained, torn, or damaged while being placed into the plane's cargo hold. [AMZ asins='B000RRD7UG,B06XTT17QC,B0009RNXNA,B084RB2WN9']

If your child has their own assigned seat (required for children 2 years of age or older, optional for infants younger than 2 years old), you may bring the car seat into the cabin for your child to use, as long as it meets the FAA's certification requirements.  The car seat must be labeled as safe for use in an aircraft, with the label "This restraint has been certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft" in red lettering.  The flight attendants will look for this label before allowing your car seat into the cabin.

Bringing a Stroller on Frontier Airlines

You may check-in your child's stroller free of charge, either at the check-in desk or using it through the airport and "gate-checking" your stroller when getting onto the plane. You will not be allowed to bring your stroller into the cabin, it will be placed into the cargo hold and returned to you once you get off the plane at your destination.

When checking-in your stroller, we recommend packing it into a protective cover so that there are no loose parts protruding that can get caught up and broken off while being taken care of by the baggage handlers.
