Alaska Airlines Infant and Child Baggage Allowance

Lap Infant Baby Baggage Allowance on Alaska Airlines

Infants under 2 years old may fly on a parent's lap, but are not entitled any additional baggage allowances on Alaska Airlines.  The only exception is that a car seat and stroller may be checked-in free of charge in addition to your standard luggage allowance, either at the check-in desk together with your suitcase or at the boarding gate when boarding the flight.

You may bring a diaper bag with your baby's essentials into the cabin with you, but this will count as your one piece of carry-on baggage allowance, and it must meet the standard carry-on dimensions of maximum 22 x 14 x 9 inches.  Your lap infant does not receive their own carry-on baggage allowance on Alaska Airlines. Alaska Airlines Child Baggage Allowance

All children flying in their own seat with a purchased ticket, either 0-2 years old or 2-13 years old, are entitled the standard adult baggage allowance that applies to their fare type, including any checked baggage fees that may apply.  The only exception is that a car seat and stroller may be checked-in free of charge.

Alaska Airline's standard carry-on baggage allowance applies to all children flying in their own seat, meaning they are entitled to one bag no larger than 22 x 14 x 9 inches, plus a smaller personal item.  Babies flying on a parent's lap without their own ticket are not entitled to any additional carry-on baggage allowance.
