Frontier Airlines Infant and Child Baggage Allowance

Lap Infant Baggage Allowance on Frontier Airlines

Babies and Infants less than 2 years old flying on a parent's lap are not entitled to any free checked baggage allowance, except for being allowed to check-in a car seat and stroller free of charge.  You may choose to either drop-off these items at the check-in desk, or bring them to the boarding gate and "gate-check" them when boarding the plane.

When flying with your baby, you may bring a diaper bag for free as a 2nd Personal Item. Please keep in mind that most fares on Frontier Airlines do not allow a regular carry-on piece of luggage, only a small personal item. [AMZ asins='B000RRD7UG,B00RXW8CVC,B08T4C26XY,B01DD0V4QC']

Child Baggage Allowance on Frontier Airlines

Children older than 2 years old flying in their own assigned seat follow the same baggage allowances and rules as adults flying in the same fare class on Frontier Airlines. In addition, you will be allowed to check-in your child's car seat and stroller free of charge, either at the check-in desk or by bringing them to the boarding gate.

You may also bring the car seat into the cabin for your child to use in-flight if it meets the FAA's requirements for aircraft use, meaning it meets the safety standards for aircraft use and is labeled as such. Look for a label that says "This restraint has been certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft" in red lettering.
