Bringing a Wedding Dress instead of Carry-On Bag on Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines will accept your wedding dress as your standard carry-on item - this can be packed either into a standard carry-on suitcase (max size 24 x 16 x 10 inches) or into a garment bag. Keep in mind that you will have to pay extra to bring a carry-on suitcase or garment bag into the cabin - prices range depending on the origin and destination of your flight, but expect to pay around $60 if pre-booking during the time of reservation, and around $100 if paying for your carry on bag at the airport (included with "The Works" package, and Elite flyers).
Your safest option is to get your dress professionally packed into a standard carry on suitcase, and place it into the overhead bin. You can also bring it in a tri-fold travel garment bag that can be rolled up or folded into a carry-on size if necessary to place into the overhead locker. If bringing your dress in a garment bag, you can also lay it out flat in the overhead locker on top of other suitcases.

Frontier Airlines will not hang your wedding dress on the plane, as there are no closets on their airplanes - you will have to place your dress into the overhead locker.
We do not recommend packing your dress into a regular checked suitcase, even though the price is similar - you do not want to risk your dress getting lost in transit just days before your wedding day. Similarly, it is best to pack your shoes and jewellery into your carry on suitcase and bring them onto the plane with you together with the dress.
Flying with a Steamer on Frontier Airlines
Your dress will arrive wrinkled after being packed for transport on Frontier Airlines - we recommend bringing a fabric steamer to steam out the wrinkles once you arrive at your wedding destination to get the dress back in perfect condition. Your hand-held steamer is allowed in both your carry-on bag and your regular checked suitcase - just make sure there is no liquid left in your steamer, otherwise it will not be allowed through security.
Flying with a Bridesmaid Dress on Frontier Airlines
Similar to bringing a wedding gown, it is best to pack your Bridesmaid's Dress into a regular carry-on suitcase (no larger than 24 x 16 x 10 inches) and bring it with you into the cabin on Frontier Airlines - do not pack it into a checked suitcase, sot hat it doesn't get lost in transit before the wedding. You will have to pay extra for the privilege of bringing a carry-on suitcase or garment bag, with the cost depending on the origin and destination of your flight. Expect to be around $60 if booking ahead, or $100 at the airport, to bring a carry-on suitcase or garment bag on Frontier Airlines.
