Firearms in Checked Bags on Frontier Airlines
Guns and Firearms are accepted only in Checked Baggage on Frontier Airlines. You may not bring a gun or firearm in your carry-on baggage or through security onto the plane.
You must be 18 years of age or older to fly with your firearm on Frontier Airlines.

Packing Your Firearm and Ammunition on Frontier Airlines
Your firearm must be completely UNLOADED and packed in a LOCKED, HARD-SIDED CASE to fly with Frontier Airlines.
The case must be locked and only YOU, the passenger, must retain the key/combo to the lock.
Ammunition is limited to 11 lbs / 5 kg per passenger, and must be securely packed either in its original packaging, or in a box specifically designed for carrying small amounts of ammunition. Loose ammunition is not accepted.
Ammunition may be packed in magazines or clips if the exposed portion is covered or sealed (i.e. sealed with duct tape), or the magazine/clip is placed in a pouch, holder, holster, or lanyard. All ammunition must be secure.
Ammunition may be packed in the same hard-sided, locked, firearm case, provided it is packed as described.
Checking-In Your Firearm with Frontier Airlines
You must declare your firearm with a Frontier Airlines agent at the time of check-in, and you will be asked to sign a Firearms Declaration Tag for every firearm you have packed.
Your firearm and/or case may need to be inspected by a TSA Agent, and which point you will be asked to unlock the gun case, and then to re-lock it again before it gets sent to the belly of the aircraft.
Your gun case will count toward your standard Frontier Airlines checked baggage allowance, and any applicable Checked Baggage, Overweight, Excess, or Oversize Baggage fees will be charged.
