Air Transat Infant and Child Baggage Allowance

Baggage Allowance for Baby 0-2 Years Old on Air Transat

Babies less than 2 years old flying on a parent's lap are not entitled to their own baggage allowance, however you may check-in a car seat and stroller free of charge. Extra items such as playpens and cribs may be included either in your own baggage allowance, or will be charged as regular excess baggage.

When flying with an infant on your lap, you may also bring a diaper bag free of charge in addition to your carry-on allowance.  This diaper bag may carry your baby's travel essentials such as diapers, wipes, juice, milk, formula, breastpump, etc., and must fit within Air Transat's regular carry-on size limit (23 x 40 x 51 cm). All children 2-11 years old must fly in their own assigned seat with a purchased ticket. The regular checked baggage allowance for the fare type purchased will apply for all kids. In addition, one stroller and one car seat are accepted free of charge.
