Babies 0-2 Years Old Fly Free on Air Transat
Your baby may fly for free on domestic Air Transat flights and to southern destinations, paying only the taxes and fees depending on the destination.
On Air Transat's transatlantic flights, your lap-held infant will need to purchase a ticket at 10% the base-fare of a regular ticket, plus applicable taxes and fees.

In both cases, your baby will be flying on your lap for the duration of the trip, and will not have their own seat. If you wish that your baby fly in their own individual seat, you will need to purchase an additional ticket for them. For safety reasons, a maximum of one infant 0-2 years old may travel on a parent's lap.
If your baby turns 2 years old while away, they will be required to fly in their own assigned seat for the return portion of your trip. Please contact Air Transat directly to arrange to purchase a return ticket for your youngster.
Discounted Fares for Children 2-11 Years Old on Air Transat
All children older than 2 years old must fly in their own assigned seat on Air Transat flights, and cannot fly on a parent's lap.
Discounted tickets are available for children 2-11 years old on transatlantic flights. These tickets are 25% off the regular ticket price, plus standard applicable taxes and fees. A maximum of 3 kdis per adult may receive this discounted rate.
Unfortunately, there are no discounts for children on Air Transat's domestic flights or on flights to southern destinations.
