Babies and infants less than 2 years old flying on a parent's lap are not entitled to their own cabin baggage or checked luggage allowance.  The only exception is that the adult may bring an additional baby bag of  45 x 35 x 20 cm, weighing up to a maximum of 5 kg, when flying with a baby on their lap.

You may also bring up to 2 pieces of baby equipment free of charge as checked luggage on Ryanair flights.  These 2 pieces of baby equipment may be either a pushchair / buggy / stroller, baby car seat, booster seat, or baby cot.  If flying with more than 2 pieces of baby equipment, you will be charged a 15-20 GBP / EUR Baby Equipment Fee. Ryanair Luggage Allowance for Children 2-11 Years Old

Young children 2-11 years old Ryanair flights must fly in their own seats on their ticket (they cannot fly on a parent's lap), and have their own hand luggage and checked luggage allowance, just like a standard adult passenger.  You will have to pay the standard Ryanair luggage fees to add extra luggage for your child. You may fly with 2 pieces of baby equipment free of charge, such as a buggy / stroller / pushchair, baby car seat, booster seat, or baby cot, and a 15 - 20 GBP fee will be charged for extra baby equipment.  

If you have purchased checked luggage for multiple members of your family on the same reservation, the weight allowances can be combined / split among the different passengers, as long as the total combined weight does not exceed the total weight allowance of all family members, and no single suitcase weighs more than 32 kg / 70 lbs.

What is the "Ryanair Family Plus" Fare Package?

Ryanair offers the "Ryanair Family Plus" package when making a reservation. This includes a 10 kg checked luggage allowance for each family member on the reservation, plus a single 20 kg checked bag for the family.  Please note that the 20 kg Checked Bag that is included is a single suitcase for the entire family, and does not mean a 20 kg suitcase for each passenger.  The "Family Plus" package does not include any additional hand-luggage allowance, just the normal "Small Cabin Bag" of  40 x 20 x 25 cm that is included with every ticket.
