Flying with a Wedding Dress on Ryanair

Buying an Extra Seat for a Wedding Dress on Ryanair

Ryanair allows wedding dresses to be brought into the cabin and to fly in their own seat as long as you purchase an extra seat for your wedding dress.

To book an extra seat for your wedding dress, you can do so by buying an extra ticket as if it were for another passenger, and simply include "Extra" as the passenger's first name, and "Item Seat" as the last name.  [AMZ asins='B07N7KY1Q8,B07V91437Y,B08LMYP6T8,B09TRCCPCB']

Select the seat for your wedding dress next to you.  Be sure to note that you may not fly with a wedding dress in rows 1, 16, and 17.

Include your travel document information while doing the online check-in for yourself and for your wedding dress. The passenger's name on the boarding pass should show as "Extra Item Seat".

Your wedding dress is not entitled to its own carry-on or checked luggage allowance.

We recommend always packing your shoes, jewellery, and other wedding attire with you into the cabin in your hand luggage whenever possible, in order to minimize the chance of it getting lost in transit before your wedding day. Ryanair does include a carry-on / cabin bag allowance - only a small personal item is allowed - so you will have to pay extra for "Priority Boarding + 2 Cabin Bags" in order to bring a standard carry-on sized suitcase onto the plane.
