Adding Additional Bags on Volaris
If you would like to take more bags on your Volaris flight, it is possible by paying an extra bag fee. You may check up to a maximum of 4 additional bags per person. It is usually cheaper to purchase your extra baggage at the time of making your booking, rather than adding it afterwards or at the airport.
If flying with a piece of sports equipment, we highly recommend the Volaris "More Baggage Combo" to save some money on your trip - for international flights it will cost you $160 ($200 during High Season), and includes 1 carry-on bag, 1 standard checked bag up to 25 kg, and 1 item of sports equipment. On Domestic flights within Mexico, you can no longer purchase this combo online, and you will have to contact Volaris by phone to add the "More Baggage Combo" if it is available for your flight. Considerations:
Oversize fee applies for checked baggage exceeding 62 inches. Volaris reserves the right to accept baggage exceeding the limits
The maximum weight of a checked bag is 99 lbs, otherwise, it won’t be accepted and must be sent by Cargo service (subject to availability)
The excess baggage charges apply for any checked baggage that exceeds the allowed weight.
