TAP Portugal Checked Baggage Fees 2023 - Checked Bag Weight & Size Limits

The free checked luggage allowance on TAP Air Portugal is based on the number of pieces, and depends on the fare class you are flying and the origin/destination of your flight.

If you are flying TAP Discount, you have no free checked baggage, and must pay for your first bag. In all cases, it is much cheaper to pre-purchase your baggage ahead of time, rather than at online check-in or at the airport. Please note that for 2023, the TAP Portugal Basic fare (2nd cheapest level) doesn't include any free checked bags either (previously included 1 free checked bag), except on intercontinental flights.
