EasyJet Carry-On Allowance for All Passengers in 2023
Be sure to note the NEW RULES regarding carry-on bags.
Only ONE SMALL cabin bag (45 x 36 x 20 cm, for example a handbag or laptop) is allowed per passenger. Dimensions include handles and wheels. This bag must go under the seat in front of you. [AMZ asins='B00LB7REFK,B082K8ZNQ1,B07ZWLQF9T,B00NW62PCA']
A 15 kg weight limit applies, which is generally not enforced, as it will be difficult to pack more than 15 kg into that sized luggage, only that you must be able to place it into the overhead compartment without assistance.
Be sure not to exceed the small cabin bag size, as otherwise you will be charged a fee of 39.99 GBP if larger than 45 x 36 x 20 cm. If your cabin bag is even larger than 56 x 45 x 25 cm, the fee will be 48 GBP. In both cases, the bag will be placed in the luggage hold.
Adding a Large Cabin Bag on EasyJet in 2023
If you would like to bring a Large Cabin Bag, up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm, on your easyJet flight, you have a couple of options.
A Large Cabin Bag is included for FLEXI Fares and for easyJet Plus cardholders. Please note that for 2023, EasyJet no longer includes a large cabin bag in selecting "Up Front" or "Extra Legroom" seats.
If none of these apply to you, you can purchase a Large Cabin Bag add-on to your ticket for a fee starting at 5.99 GBP up to about 35.99 GBP, which can be purchased online on the easyJet website or via the app.
If your large cabin bag exceeds the size limit of 56 x 45 x 25 cm, your bag will be gate-checked into the hold, and you will be charged a fee of 48 GBP for the privilege.
And, even though it's tempting, please don't try to sneak two items past the EasyJet gate crew: they'll have to put one of them into the aircraft hold and charge you for it. It will delay yours and everyone else's journey!
EasyJet Hands Free
EasyJet previously allowed the option to go "Hands Free", by dropping off your carry-on bag at the check-in desk - this option is no longer offered for 2023. Only if you have already purchased a "Hands Free" service or voucher will you still be able to use it.
