Qatar Airways Surfboard Fees

Qatar Airways will carry your surfboard free of charge as part of your regular free checked baggage allowance, in place of a regular suitcase, as long as it meets the weight limit and is shorter than 300 cm.

This will be much cheaper than to paying the exorbitant rates for excess baggage at the airport, as the special Discounted rates for sports equipment are not available at the airport on the day of your flight.
