Bring your SCUBA Diving Equipment for free on Qatar Airways, as part of your regular free checked baggage allowance, in place of a regular suitcase.
Your SCUBA gear is limited to a maximum weight of 23 kg / 50 lbs. The air/gas cylinder must be presented empty, and underwater lights and knives must be safely packed. [AMZ asins='B00NIYJF6U,B001PB6R4Q,B009F1924K,B00ZHPLCS2']
If your SCUBA gear is in addition to your free checked bag allowance, you have the option to prepay for it online at a discounted Sports Equipment rate. This is only available online before your flight, and not available at the airport on the day of departure. Otherwise, you will be charged the higher Airport Excess Baggage rates for diving gear, which can get very expensive.
