Jetstar.com Overweight Baggage Fee 2023 - Extra Bag Fee - Oversize Baggage

The cheapest way to add excess baggage to your Jetstar flight is to purchase an additional baggage allowance when buying your flight. You may also add this later via Manage my Booking (more expensive) or at the airport (most expensive option).

If you don't have a free or pre-purchased checked baggage allowance, yet you show up at the airport with a checked bag, you will be charged a fixed fee for the first 15 kg, plus a fee for every additional KG. Jetstar Airport Baggage Fees - First 15 KG Fee
This fee applies if you do not have a free checked baggage allowance, or have not purchased a checked baggage allowance before showing at the airport. This is a flat fee for the first checked bag, up to a maximum of 15 kg. If your baggage weighs more than 15 kg, you will also be charged the Per KG Fee outlined below for every additional KG.

Jetstar Airport Baggage Fees - Extra Kilos Fee (per KG)
If you exceed your free/purchased checked baggage weight allowance, you will be charged a Per KG Excess Weight fee. This also applies if you have not purchased any checked baggage allowance, and will be charged for every KG above 15 kg, after paying the flat fee outlined above.

Jetstar Oversize Baggage Fee
The oversize baggage fee will be charged if any of your bags exceeds 1 m (100 cm) length in any of its dimensions. The amount will be charged in the local currency at the departure airport. The maximum length allowed for an oversize baggage item is 230 cm on Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, and domestic Jetstar Airways flights. On Jetstar Airways International flights on Boeing 787 planes, the maximum length allowed is 277 cm.
