Jetstar.com Checked Baggage Fees 2023 - Checked Bag Weight & Size Limits

When flying on Jetstar Airways, the cheapest "Starter" fare does not include any free checked baggage allowance. It is cheapest to plan ahead and add checked bags during the booking process. You may add bags later on through the "Manage Booking" section of the Jetstar website, but it will be more expensive. However, this is still cheaper than paying for your bags at the airport check-in desk.

Your Jetstar baggage allowance is presented in total allowed weight. There is no limit to the number of bags you may check-in, as long as the total combined weight of your bags does not exceed your free/purchased baggage weight allowance. When packing, keep in mind that no single bag may weigh more than 32 kg.

On all Jetstar flights, size limits apply - no bag may have a single dimension exceeding 100 cm in length, otherwise an oversize baggage fee will apply.

Jetstar Starter Fare Baggage Allowance
The Jetstar Starter Fare does NOT INCLUDE any free checked baggage allowance. You can add checked baggage to your booking, selecting from the following options: 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, 30 kg, 35 kg, or 40 kg.

The 15 kg option is only available on domestic flights - it is not available on international Jetstar flights. On international flights, the lowest checked baggage options is 20 kg.

Jetstar Starter Fare with Plus Bundle
The Starter Fare with Plus Bundle includes 20 kg (10 kg on Jetstar Japan domestic flights) of free checked baggage allowance. You have the option to purchase an additional 20 kg (30 kg on Jetstar Japan domestic flights) allowance to bring your total weight allowance up to 40 kg.

Jetstar Starter Fare with Max Bundle
The Starter Fare with Max Bundle includes 30 kg of free checked baggage allowance. You have the option to purchase an additional 10 kg of weight allowance to bring your total baggage allowance up to a maximum of 40 kg.

Jetstar Starter Fare with Flex Bundle
The Starter Fare with Flex Bundle does NOT INCLUDE any free checked baggage. You can add checked baggage to your booking, selecting from the following options: 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, 30 kg, 35 kg, or 40 kg.
