Jetstar passengers flying on Economy "Starter", "Starter Plus" and "Starter Max" tickets may bring a main cabin item, plus a smaller personal item, on-board free of charge. Keep in mind that the total combined weight of both your main carry-on item and the personal item may not exceed 7kg. You may purchase an additional "+7 kg Extra Carry-On Baggage" allowance, to bring the total combined weight allowed of both items up to 14 kg (keep in mind, no single item may weigh more than 10 kg). This extra carry-on baggage option is not available on flights to/from Vietnam.

If flying on a Flex Bundle or with a Business Class ticket, the same maximum dimensions apply, but you have a higher weight allowance. The total combined weight of both carry-on items must not exceed 14 kg, with no single item weighing more than 10 kg.

Arriving at the Airport with Excess Carry-on Weight
Be sure to note that Jetstar strictly enforces its carry-on weight rules, but at check-in and at the boarding gate. Be careful when packing, because steep charges apply for exceeding the standard 7kg allowance.

If flying with extra carry-on weight, it is cheapest to purchase your +7 Kg Extra Carry-On allowance online before your flight, but you may be able to purchase it (if it is not sold-out) at the airport check-in (more expensive) or at the boarding gate (most expensive).
