Emirates has some of the most generous baggage policies. After having reduced the baggage allowance for Economy Special and Economy Saver fares in the past, Emirates has changed their approach and increased it back to previous levels for 2023. Please be sure to review the updates baggage allowances for 2023.

Premium Economy - 35 kg

All passengers may bring as many pieces as they like, as long as the total weight of all pieces stays within your weight allowance.

If you are an Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold or Silver member, you may also be entitled to additional allowances.

Checked Baggage on Emirates Flights to/from North and South America and to/from Africa
Emirates customers traveling to/from North or South America or to/from Africa have a piece concept that applies. Please view the baggage policies below:

Flights within the Americas and between USA and Europe
Economy Class (Saver and Special) - 1 piece of 23 kg / 50 lbs
Economy Class (Flex and FlexPlus+) - 2 pieces of 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Premium Economy - 2 pieces of 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Business Class - 2 pieces up to 32 kg / 70 lbs each
First Class - 2 pieces up to 32 kg / 70 lbs each

All other Routes to/from Americas and from Africa
Economy Class (Special) - 1 piece of 23 kg / 50 lbs
Economy Class (Saver, Flex, FlexPlus+) - 2 pieces of 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Premium Economy - 2 pieces of 23 kg / 50 lbs each
Business Class - 2 pieces up to 32 kg / 70 lbs each
First Class - 2 pieces up to 32 kg / 70 lbs each

Travel from Australia, New Zealand or Asia
If your journey from Australia, New Zealand or Asia to North or South America includes a stopover in Dubai greater than 24 hours, or a sector in Europe or Africa, the weight concept will apply for the entire ticketed journey.

Note on Bag Dimensions on Emirates Airlines
Please note that the maximum bag size allowed on Emirates Airlines is 150 cm / 59" in linear dimensions (L+W+H). This is slightly smaller than the standard 158 cm / 62 linear inches of most airlines. Although unlikely to be enforced, there exists a possibility that you will be charged an Oversize Baggage fee if bringing a larger suitcase that otherwise fits within the standard dimensions of most other airlines.
