For 2023, Virgin Australia has standardised their carry-on baggage policy for all destinations, and it is based on the fare class you are flying.

1 Larger Carry-On Item - Max 56 x 36 x 23 cm - Max Weight 7 Kg
2 Smaller Carry-On Items - Max 48 x 34 x 23 cm - Max Combined Weight 7 kg
1 Smaller Carry-On Item (56 x 36 x 23 cm) + 1 Suit Pack (114 x 60 x 11 cm) - Max Combined Weight 7 kg

In all cases, you may also bring a small personal item such as handbag, purse (of reasonable size), umbrella, blanket, or overcoat.

Virgin Australia Business Class, Velocity Gold, Velocity Platinum Carry-On Bag Policies 2023
The following carry-on bag policies applies to all destinations, except when flying on F100 aircraft and Alliance Airlines operated flights, on which the Economy Class carry-on policy applies to all passengers.

Business Class, Velocity Gold, and Velocity Platinum members may choose to carry either 1 larger carry-on (max weight 7 kg), or 2 smaller carry-on bags (max weight 7 kg each). Alternatively, one of the smaller carry-on bags may be substituted for a suit pack.
