Extra Bag Fee on Virgin Atlantic
If bringing a 3rd or 4th bag on Virgin Atlantic flights, you will be charged an extra bag fee of 140 GBP / $200 USD for each extra bag. Does applies to all cabins (Economy Light, Economy Classic, Economy Delight, Premium, Upper Class).

Also, Virgin Atlantic's Flying Club Gold members can check in an extra piece of luggage on all Virgin Atlantic operated flights for no extra charge (weighing up to 23kg). It doesn’t matter which cabin you’re flying in.

You may pre-pay and bring up to a maximum of 7 extra checked bags per person when booking online, or up to 10 extra checked bags per person if paying at the airport. It is the same price to pay for your bags online as at the airport.

An overweight baggage fee will be charged for every bag weighing more than 23 kg / 50 lbs (up to a maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs). Virgin Atlantic's overweight baggage fee is 65 GBP / $100 USD for each bag weighing more than 23 kg / 50 lbs. Does not apply to Upper Class passengers, whose bags may weigh up to 32 kg / 70 lbs.

Oversize Baggage Fees on Virgin Atlantic
Extra large luggage that exceeds the standard size limit of 90 x 75 x 43 cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16 ins) will be charged an oversized baggage fee. Virgin Atlantic's Oversize Baggage Fee is 200 GBP / $300 USD.

The upper limit for oversized luggage is a 190 x 75 x 65cm (75 x 29.5 x 25.5in). If it’s bigger than that, you won’t be able to check it in as baggage – you will have to contact Virgin Atlantic Cargo (opens in a new window) to transport it.
