ITA Airways permits carry-on bags weighing up to 8kg, with a maximum size of 55 x 25 x 35 cm.

If the flight is very busy, the overhead bin space may be full, so your larger carry-on bag/suitcase may be placed into the cargo hold for the duration of the flight.
