Battery Operated Mobility Aids on Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific is happy to accept all kinds of batteries for transport, including lithium ion, dry cell, wet cell, gel, and non-spillable batteries. Before you fly, Cathay Pacific asks that you contact their reservations office and let them know what kind of battery your wheelchair uses. They will help you understand the regulations and safety procedures for transporting your unique mobility aid.

Requesting Wheelchair Assistance at the Airport when Flying with Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific is proud to offer wheelchair services to passengers who need them. This service will also come with an attendant who will help you navigate the airport. If you need assistance from the aircraft door to your seat, the cabin crew is also trained to assist you.

If you are travelling with a group of ten or more people requiring wheelchairs, Cathay Pacific asks that you contact their reservations office a minimum of 48 hours before departure, so that accommodations can be scheduled and your travel goes as smoothly as possible.

Other Mobility Aids (Canes, Crutches, Walkers) on Cathay Pacific

Other mobility aids such as canes, crutches, and foldable walkers can be brought with you into the aircraft, so long as they can be safely stowed in either the overhead bins or under the seat in front of you.
