Vueling has made updates to it's carry-on bag policy for all fares as we enter 2023. Be sure to read the carry-on rules that apply to your flight, to avoid any confusion and unexpected fees.
Effective on all Vueling flights including Basic, Optima, and Family Fares, all passengers may only bring a single smaller personal item (40 x 20 x 30 cm) that must fit underneath the seat in front of you. Only the most expensive TimeFlex fares include a larger carry-on bag up to 10 kg that may go into the overhead bins, or if you are a Vueling Club Premium member. If you are flying on a Vueling Basic, Optima, or Family fare, you may bring a larger 10 kg carry-on suitcase / hand luggage (max dimensions 55 x 40 x 20 cm) to place into the overhead bin if you purchase an additional carry-on allowance. The cost depends on your exact flight route, and ranges from 24-59 EUR when booked ahead of time online or via the Vueling App, or from 55-75 EUR if paying for a carry-on bag at the airport.
Another option if you would like to bring a 10 kg carry-on suitcase is to select and pay for a Space Plus or a Space One seat when making a seat selection - if you add a Space Plus or a Space One seat, this comes included with a 10 kg carry-on/hand luggage allowance. The Optima and Family fares include free seat selection, but you will still have to pay an extra fee for the the Space Plus and Space One seats.
A Note on Oversize Personal Items and Hand Luggage
Please note that if your personal item/underseat bag exceeds its size limit (40 x 20 x 30 cm), it will be checked-in at the boarding gate for a fee of 80 EUR. Likewise, if you bring more than 2 pieces of hand-luggage, every item will need to be checked-in for a fee of 80 EUR at the boarding gate.
