Turkish Airlines Checked Baggage Fees 2023 - Checked Bag Weight & Size Limits

Please notice that in 2023, Turkish Airlines offers a cheaper "EcoFly" fare that does not include any free checked baggage on International flights. If you have purchased an "EcoFly" ticket, the below free checked baggage allowances do not apply, as you do not have any free checked bags allowed. If you do wish to bring a checked bag on an "EcoFly" fare, you will have to purchase a Checked Baggage Allowance on the Turkish Airlines website.

The baggage piece concept applies to flights to and from Angola, Argentina, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, Colombia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Japan, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Senegal, the Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sudan, the United States of America, and Venezuela.

Economy Class: 2 pieces, 23kg/50lbs each
Business Class: 2 pieces, 32kg/70lbs each
Infant Passenger: 1 + 1 collapsible baby carriage / buggy, 23 kg/50lbs

Turkish Airlines - All Other International Flights Free Checked Baggage Allowance
Economy - EcoFly: 0 kg
Economy - ExtraFly: 23 kg
Economy - PrimeFly: 30 kg
Business - BusinessFly: 30 kg
Business - PrimeFly - 40 kg

For International flights there are no restrictions on the number of bags per passenger for flights which apply the baggage weight concept, as long as the total weight of all bags is below the limit. There may be some variation in free baggage allowance depending on the exact route of your flight.
