Qantas Airlines checked baggage allowances depend on the origin/destination of your flight.

Qantas Checked Baggage Allowance on International flights (excluding North & South America)
For tickets issued on all Qantas international flights excluding flights to/from South and North America, the following weight allowances will apply. On flights where only a weight allowance is specified, there is no limit to the number of pieces that can be checked-in, as long as the total combined weight does not exceed the free baggage allowance.

Combined Domestic and International Tickets
If you're flying on both international and domestic flights with Qantas on the same ticket, the international checked baggage allowance will apply to both of your flights. If you have purchased separate tickets for your international and domestic flights, but they are connecting on the same calendar day, you may be allowed the international checked baggage allowance for your domestic flight as well, but you will have to present both tickets when checking-in your bags. Some exceptions may apply.

Qantas Free Checked Baggage Allowance on Domestic Flights
Baggage allowance is included on every domestic flight within Australia on Qantas and QantasLink

If transferring from a Qantas Domestic flight to a Qantas International flight, or vice versa, on the SAME CALENDAR DAY, the International Baggage Allowance is accepted on both flights. Present both tickets when checking baggage in.

Adult - 1 piece (maximum 23kg)
Qantas Club members and Silver Qantas Frequent Flyers - 1 piece (maximum 32kg)
Gold Qantas Frequent Flyers - 2 pieces (maximum 32kg per piece)
Platinum and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyers - 2 pieces (maximum 32kg per piece)

Qantas Club members and Silver Qantas Frequent Flyers - 2 pieces (maximum 32kg per piece)

Exceptions
Exceptions to baggage allowances exist for certain destinations. Baggage carried above these allowances may not travel on the same flight due to aircraft weight restrictions.

Dash 8 Services
Checked Baggage - 1 piece (maximum 23kg)
Carry-On - 7kg (15lb) total

To/From Lord How Island
Checked Baggage - 2 pieces with combined total weight of 23 kg (1st piece maximum 14kg (30lb), 2nd piece max 9 kg (20 lb))
Carry-On - 7kg (15lb) total

Note that even if your baggage meets the above requirements, we may refuse to carry it if it is not properly and securely packed. Finally, remember that no single item of checked baggage may exceed 32kg (70lb) and all cabin baggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in an overhead locker, including musical instruments.
