Porter Airlines has recently upped its baggage fees, with higher fees being charged if paid at the airport, so it is best to plan ahead and pre-purchase your checked baggage allowance online. Please see the Porter Airlines baggage fees chart below.
In 2023, Porter Airlines offers 4 fare classes in it's standard economy option, what they call "PorterClassic", including Basic, Standard, Flexible, and Freedom. Only the PorterClassic Freedom class includes 2 free checked bags. [AMZ asins='B00LB7REFK,B082K8ZNQ1,B07ZWLQF9T,B00NW62PCA']
Porter Airlines also offers an elevated "PorterReserve" premium option, with both fare classes, Navigate and Ultimate, including 2 free checked bags.
Porter baggage fees depend on when you pay for your bags (online vs. at the airport vs. at the gate). The baggage fees vary depending on the fare class (Basic, Standard, Flexible) you are flying in. Be sure to check what Porter "Bundles" are available for your flight, such as the Starter Pak or Plus Pak bundles that include a 1st or 2nd checked bag, along with other services such as seat selections, sometimes for less than paying for a checked bag individually.
Be sure to note that if your carry-on luggage is oversize and must be checked in, you will be charged the "at the gate" fee, which depends on how many bags you have already checked in, and substantially more expensive than prepaying for a piece of checked luggage before your flight..

Fees are per direction, and include local taxes, depending on origin of ticket. Fees are indicated in CAD/USD, based on originating airport.
