LATAM allows passengers to bring 2 items on-board the aircraft: one 10 kg standard carry-on suitcase, and one smaller personal item (small backpack or purse). This applies to all passengers except "Basic" Fare passengers, for whom only a small personal item is allowed.
The maximum weight for your standard carry-on suitcase is 10 kg (22 lb) in Economy Clas and 16 kg (35 lb) in Premium Economy or Premium Business. The maximum dimensions are 21 in (55 cm) x 13 in (35 cm) x 9 in (25 cm) (height, width and depth), including the pockets, wheels and handle.
Paying for a Carry-On Bag on LATAM "Basic" Flights
If you are flying on a LATAM "Basic" ticket that does not include a standard-sized carry-on bag allowance, you may add a 10 kg carry-on bag allowance either online or at the airport. It is cheaper to purchase your carry-on allowance earlier rather than later. Please see the prices below:

Gate-Checking of Hand Luggage on LATAM Flights
If your carry-on bag meets the size requirements but there is no room on board, it will be gate-checked free of charge. If your carry-on bag exceeds the size/weight restrictions, you will be able to gate-check the bag for the same fees as those listed above.
You can also put one personal item under the seat in front of you (except in emergency exit rows seats and front rows), such as:
A purse.
A laptop bag.
A diaper bag.
Maximum personal item dimensions are 18 in (45 cm) x 14 in (35 cm) x 8 in (20 cm) (length, height and width). If your fare does not include a carry-on allowance, may still bring this small personal item free of charge.
