Flying with Musical Instruments on Boliviana de Aviacion
Guitars, Drums, and Trumpets, and other small instruments may be brought on-board as part of your carry-on allowance. Larger instruments must be placed into a seat, for which you must pay the regular full fare. The maximum weight of an instrument is 75kg for transportation on Boliviana de Aviacion.

Instruments may also be checked in as regular luggage, free if within your regular free baggage allowance, or after payment of the standard excess baggage fees.
On flights departing from Madrid, guitars / musical instruments must be plasticized. If the weight is within the regular baggage allowance, it will not be subject to additional charges.
